WST GmbH Germany, the global leader in signature recognition systems and quality controls for binderies has been appointed by DGR GmbH, Germany the vendor for SingleCopy and ShortRun equipments for the production of Soft and Hardcover products as the sales agent for Europe. The agreement made a lot of sense so Managing Director Peter Wenzke from WST "Our sales staff is seeing the same customers in the print finishing industry". DGR Graphic announced their next generation of ShortRun equipment at the last On Demand Expo in Boston - their On Demand SingleCopy machines (One Off) production line for Soft - and Hardcover production. This product line has generated significant interest. Three of these production lines have been installed and producing good books. DGR Graphic GmbH of Germany has named Print Finishing Sales & Services (PFS&S) of Sarasota, FL as the exclusive North American distributor for its soft and hardcover book binding equipment.
The KM.40 Perfect Binder and the D.08 Three-Knife Trimmer are state of the art automated soft cover book binding systems designed for on demand and short print runs. These compact systems feature fast and tool-less changeover without the need for make-ready parts. The KM.40 is a new design that can also produce hardcover book-blocks with end sheets applied after the milling station as well as lay-flat products.
DGR Graphic GmbH of Espelkamp, Germany was founded in 1997 by Horst Rathert and Gerd Depping, both former designers at Kolbus GmbH where they developed many of the industry's long-established book production equipment.
DGR also manufactures the RHLE.30 complete Bookline with the FE33 building-in machine, the E.30 casing-in machine and the E.01 casing-in machine for small products like diaries.
